Our Client a leader in the local IT Distribution is looking for a Sales Consultant. Use your relevant degree/diploma with a minimum of 2 years sales experience in IT industry and contribute to the optimal development of the sales team, promoting the sales of IT Infrastructure, Hardware and Software effectively and efficiently to customers; adding value from Day1!
Key Responsibility Areas:

Professionally and efficiently manage customer telephonic engagement with a view to maximizing customer satisfaction. This should be achieved through:
Adhering to Telephone Etiquette guideline (document).
Continuous Product knowledge improvement (ongoing training).
Cross and up sell of unavailable product.
Fast but accurate responses to email and telephonic quote requests.
Skilful price negotiation using system tools available (ERP).
Supporting all other team members and their associated database of clients (telephonic, order placing, quoting, delivery information, backorders. POD’s etc.).
Updating CRM to ensure customer detail accuracy and allow proactive marketing.
Managing the sourcing and delivery of products to the customer.
Generating interest in the business IT products and solutions.
Keeping customers informed of new product development and IT innovation opportunities.

Following up on outbound marketing campaigns.
Ensuring customer awareness of incentives through telephonic and electronic engagement.
Working in a team environment.
Dealing with and efficiently directing all customer related queries.
Assisting with the gathering of information for Direct Sales persons where appropriate.
Displaying accuracy regarding messages, quotes, orders, and information given.
Answering customer queries, offering product information, doing quotes and process orders, track deliveries, obtain POD’s etc.
Engaging with clients to establish the hardware and software needs of their business.
Ensuring customer expectations are met (order taking and delivery)
Providing after sales support.
Back order follow up and executing of queries including offering alternative in-stock items.
Organising one’s time effectively, with the purpose of completing today’s work today.
Education and Experience:

Matric/Grade 12 with Exemption (preferred)
Relevant Degree/Diploma (preferred)
Minimum 2 years sales experience in IT industry (essential)
Technical Competencies:

MS Office Suite (Intermediate – essential, especially Excel)
Knowledge of CRM and ERP system (preferred)
