Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up of function rooms and service points according to guest requests, numbers, menu & SOP.
• Ensure that the correct beverages & meals chosen by the guest are delivered /served/ paid for in a professional & timely manner.
• Ensure duties as the required standards set out are fulfilled.
• Ensure setting up prior to & cleaning of venues after functions.
• Meeting and greeting guests / Taking orders / Clearing tables/ Packing take-away orders.
• Serving at breakfasts/lunch & cocktail parties as required.
• Ensuring that the client is happy with the functions (Provide & practice professional and excellent customer service excellence)
• Make sure that all cutlery, crockery, linen etc. is clean for a function and are secured after service.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks and duties.
• Carry out all necessary waiting duties.
• To report and where possible, take action about customer complaints and compliments.
• May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility

Qualifications
• Minimum matric
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Superior food and beverage knowledge
• Must be strong in functions, banqueting and administration.
• Related Qualification (Advantageous)
