Job Context Servest Integrated Solutions a division of Servest (Pty) Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Handyman. The roles are based in Gauteng, Parktown, Johannesburg and reporting to the Facilities Manager.
Minimum Requirements Grade 12 , a Technical tertiary qualification would be an advantage
2 years experience in a maintenance environment or facilities management
Plumbing and basic handyman duties
Technical background, practical training on basic handyman services
Have sound knowledge of a maintenance environment
Previous responsibility and successful performance on comparable FM contracts
Proven knowledge of contracts
Duties & Responsibilities Undertake reactive maintenance tasks and repairs as identified during the daily site inspections and/or by instruction from the Client.
Ensure that best operating practice is applied when undertaking all tasks.
Provide a list of required materials to your Client to procure the necessary stock
Adhere to company standard operating practices and the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Act.
Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Perform a wide variety tasks involving the use of different hand tools in the area of carpentry, painting, furniture repairs, facility maintenance and general fabric repair.
Carry out regular inspections of the site.
Keep work area tidy and presentable
Ensure any issues are escalated to the Client
