TRG 785.3 : (Ladysmith) CIMA COSTING & MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT (Manufacturing)

An experienced COST ACCOUNTANT is required in Ladysmith. Position available to start immediately.

Minimum of 3 years costing experience essential with strong understanding of Bll-of-materials.

This position is open to all South African Citizens.

Duties & Responsibilities;

Inventory:

Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
Update standard costs in the bill of materials
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies

Validate cost of goods sold as part of month-end close
Accumulate and apply overhead costs
Monitor, control and report obsolete stock
Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation
Analysis and Reporting:

Report on margins by product type
Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Preparing of monthly management pack and instilling the accounting discipline to move the organization towards reporting on the 3rd day of the month after closing
Ability to accurately prepare monthly and quarterly accounts for Head Office reporting
Taking control of the month-end close
Financial:

Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on monthly basis
Taking control and managing all financial disciplines required for the smooth running of the operation
Implementing and enforcing credit limits
Daily monitoring of cash flow information and preparation of necessary cashflow reports and forecasts,
Controlling, tracking and reporting on the working capital cycle to improve the process and reduce the capital invested
Preparation of year-end working files for annual audit
Follow up on audit queries and ensure that corrective action is taken by responsible individuals
General:

Develop and manage the annual budgets
Preparation and submission of tax packs to head office
Review of insurance requirements
Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
Supervision of staff
Various projects as delegated by the General Manager and Finance Head Office
Minimum Requirements;

BCom
CIMA
Syspro
Preferably qualified CIMA with at least 3 years of costing and management accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, strong understanding of bill of materials.
Must have excellent analysis skills and the ability to communicate on all levels, sound accounting principles and preferably experience in SYSPRO, strong excel skills.
Salary negotiable on exp (R40k - R50k TCT).
