Senior Draughtsman (Checker)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understanding the principles and techniques involved in designing, manufacturing and construction of process & mineral plants
Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction process and mineral plants
Providing the discipline checking function on all drawings and/or specifications produced for the manufacture and construction of process and mineral plants
Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions.
Focusing on aspects of the work task which may be precise or form small parts of the whole and is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail
Capacity for generating original and imaginative ideas, methods and material. Implement standards where required and continual improvement.
Showing understanding and politeness to others, developing and maintaining relationships with others, being able to deal with individuals who are difficult and relating well to people from varied backgrounds
Initiating, assigning and confirming arrangements required for events or activities in an orderly and systematic manner

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Grade 12
T1
Preferably T3
Minimum 10 years in an engineering checking position. In related Mining, Mineral and Chemical Process Industries and Petrochem.
Preferably +15 years in an engineering checking position. In related Mining, Mineral and Chemical Process Industries and Petrochem
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD 2D and 3D, MS Excel and MS Word
Preferably knowledgeable in Advanced AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Civil3D
This is a 3 months fixed term role
