About Karri
Karri is a fast growing school payments business with the goal to make school payments quick and simple for both the school and their parents. Karri is growing at a rapid rate in all major centres in South Africa, and we hope to bring more accelerated growth to the Gauteng region by growing our sales team there. By joining Karri you will have the opportunity to be a part of the rapidly growing, proudly South African Fin-tech space.
As part of this sales team we will look to you to present, promote and sell Karri to schools in and around the Johannesburg region while also developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.
About the role
Key responsiblities:
Attract potential school clients (cold call, attend conferences, sales trips)
Convert clients (set up and host meetings, demonstrate product, present to school managers)
Maintain clients (customer support)
Working with a CRM system and keeping it updated for tracking purposes
Key skills/background experience:
Previous experience in prospecting, sales and effective closing
Effective communication via phone and email, especially in a cold call environment
Previous experience with CRM management and tracking of sales progress
Strong computer literacy preferably with an understanding of payment applications.
Ability to organise and manage oneβs own time and meetings
Some understanding of the school space in Gauteng
Desired qualities:
Natural sales person.
Outgoing and enthusiastic.
Passion for education.
Excitement for startup business.
Bilingual in Afrikaans
Qualifications: Tertiary education valued, but not essential.
