PRESORTER MANAGER

Fruitways is an agri-business that specialises in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.

We are looking for a self-confident, independent individual with strong attention to detail skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data inquisitively. You will be based at one of our Packing Operations in the Vyeboom/Grabouw areas.

Responsibilities:

Operate and control the pre-sorter weight & quality program according to specification.
Fully utilise the pre-sorting software to ensure continuous improvement of sorting accuracy.
Analyse and interpret data to ensure maximum output of fruit according to quality specification.
Monitor pre-sorting processes to meet daily productivity targets.
Manage and develop a small team of people
Requirements:

Grade 12

Production management or similar qualification will be advantageous
2 years’ working experience in a production environment
Good communication skills
Intermediate computer literacy
Knowledge of fruit quality standards will be advantageous
