The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Ensuring that the physical standards set out in the Operations Standard Manual with regards to Front Office are met
Evaluating operational needs and developing SOPβs for Front Office in line with this
Ensuring that all escalated guest complaints are attended to within 24 hours
Quality Assurance Assessment scores with regards to Front Office are met or exceed the benchmark
Minimum guest Service Standards in Front Office are to be set, maintained and regularly reviewed
Regular reviews of system security measures
Maintenance of all Front Office and Switchboard equipment and ensuring that all backup resources/systems are in place
Allocation of responsibilities in terms of Safety and Security Procedures as well as the implementation of the necessary security plans i.e. Emergency Plans (Bomb, Fire, Armed Robbery etc.), Accident Procedures, Theft procedures, Key Control Procedures, Procedure for lost property, Crisis Communication Plan
Timeous and accurate submission of all required Front Office reports
Ensuring that the Front Office audit is completed daily
Ensuring that efficient communication is maintained within the Department and with all other operational departments
Staffing levels and rostering is maintained to meet operational requirements and within budgeted parametersMaintaining training records and ensuring that training needs is communicated to the General Manager
Ensuring that sound labour practices are maintained within the department
Job Specification:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent required
Hospitality Management Degree will be advantageous
Advanced Opera knowledge is essential
A high level of leadership skills
Must be guest and service driven
Ability to work accurately under pressure
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Time management skills is essential
Computer Literacy is essential (Word and Excel)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Well groomed, presentable and professional manner
Own Transport is advantageous
The ability to work long hours and shifts
