Position Purpose :

Collating of information and investigation of variances against the budget in preparation of the monthly management reports
Collection of data for the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget and consolidation thereof.
Co-ordination of minor works submission
Collation of data for the preparation of viability models
Collection of data and input to support the preparation of commodity costing to assist in financial decision-making.
Position outputs :

Investigation of cost variances against targets and presentation of analysis to MA.
Preparation of management accounting statistics/numbers and investigation of qualitative reasons supporting the monthly

reports to be prepared by the Management Accountant.

Collection of data and preparation/consolidation of budget schedules for review by the Management accountant aligned to
the Transnet strategic objectives and budget guidelines disseminated from TPT HQ


Obtaining relevant information to prepare specific project and terminal
Transnet Port Terminals viability models to support capital investment decisions and update the terminal viability models on
a quarterly basis

Co-ordinate the approval of minor works submissions for the terminal, ensuring all the relevant documents have been duly
completed.

Preparation of monthly cost centre reports for review and sign off by the Cost centre Managers
Collating data and input for the development and maintenance of terminal costing models.
Analysis of cost drivers with a view to improving efficiencies and reducing costs
Provision of information as and when required by the MA, FM or Head office on an ad hoc basis
Collate information and prepare ABC costing models, and
Tender financial evaluations (preform price comparisons on bids to determine the most cost effective bid).
Qualifications & Experience :

Diploma in cost/management accounting with a degree in Accounting/Management accounting as advantageous
3 years in Financial environment including at least 1 year in Management Accounting environment
