Truworths is looking for a self-motivated individual with window dresser or visual merchandiser experience. The applicant should have the ability to work within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and share our commitment to fashion, quality and customer service excellence. This person would be based in Cape Town but will need to travel to the surrounding areas.

Ideally, applicants for the position should meet the following key requirements and competencies:

At least 1 year’s display experience and knowledge on Merchandise display techniques and processes
An ability to coordinate colours effectively
Skills in constructing displays (building, painting, wiring, dressing)
Ability to work under constant pressure
Valid driver’s license – essential requirement (at least 2 years)
The ability to “make a plan” and improvise when necessary
Listening skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Diligence in storing and maintaining models and props
Flair for fashion and an ability to style garments on mannequins
Energetic, self-motivated ,resilient and deadline driven

Ability to work within a team dynamic and assist with training
Willing to work overtime during implementation of Christmas and seasonal changes
Physically fit and mobile as the job requires lifting, carrying, standing, bending and stretching
