Purpose of the Job:

To implement an effective stock management system, continuous improvement in operational efficiencies and cost savings, deliver on budgeted profit, and monitor and improve key HR metrics.

Minimum Requirements:

· Matric Qualification.

· A relevant management qualification.

· 5 years management experience in a warehouse operations role within the meat or cold storage industry.

· Experience needs to include the following functions:

· Analysis of operational data and statistical report compilations.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and understanding the importance of customer service.

· Managing approximately 200 employees in total (directly and indirectly) with the ability to set performance targets and carry out performance evaluations.

· Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure that 97% of sales orders routed (volume based) are dispatched daily and on time.

· Ensure that there is no more than a 1% variance reported on the weekly stock take.

· Implementation of an effective bay utilisation system with an average of two hours loading time.

· Reducing employment efficiency costs.

· Ensuring optimal productivity is achieved.

· Achieving allocated department budget.

Required Competencies:

· Ability to meet deadlines in a pressurised and fast paced environment

· Strong people and relationship skills

· Good verbal and communication skills

· Organised, decisive and good attention to detail

· Demonstrable leadership qualities

· Computer knowledge and skill especially in Excel
