About the Position

Position Purpose:



Our client is looking for a UI/UX Design Lead in their Research and Development team toleadtheir design efforts as they rebuild On Key, their Enterprise Asset Management System(EAMS). The ideal candidate will have aneye for clean design, excellentdesignskills and be able to translate high-level requirements and interaction flows into clean, intuitiveweb and mobileuser interfaces.



Theidealcandidatewillhave experienceinUI development, Information Architecture methodology and UX design techniques in an agile software [URL Removed] strong leadership skills,be self-motivatedandbe able to drive the implementation of the UX design across the various aspects of the EAMS offering. This position plays an integral role in driving Application Design and Development and providing product feedback at all stages of the development life cycle.

Experience & Qualifications:



Bachelors Degree in Information Design, Computer Information Systems, Human Computer Interaction or related technical or design field
At least 5+ years of professional work experience designing applications for mobile and web (Working with multiple designs programs / software)
An online portfolio that demonstrates project work delivered
Experience in working with software developers as part of an agile software development team throughout the life cycle of a project (e.g. using SCRUM)
Experience in leading a small team of designers
Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, process flows and sitemaps
Experience in using Design Tools e.g. Sketch, Axure, Photoshop or Affinity Designer
Experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript a bonus
Experience in version control systems like GIT a bonus


Responsibilities:



Lead the Delivery of Design

Take the lead to establish the UI/UX discipline
Defining UI/UX techniques, process and standards for the development process
Ensure team adherence to UI/UX process and standards (visual style guide and UI pattern library), standardise front-end elements across multiple platforms, including behaviour, form standards, icons, colour theory and fonts
Assist in setting long term UI/UX objectives and activities
Ensuring delivery against sprint goals
Compiling feedback and communicate to relevant stakeholders
Ensuring hand over of designs to development team in a manner that will ensure productive use of their time
Interact with Product owner and Business analysts to effectively align resources to meet goals and roadmap commitments


UX/UI Design and Testing

Interact with Product owner and Business analysts regarding Design requirements
Interact with developers on practical implementation details during the Design implementation
Coordinating and facilitating iterative UX sessions with internal and external user groups
Conceptualise and design smooth user experiences using user flows and storyboards
Develop high-quality UI specifications using design techniques such as wireframes, mock ups and prototypes
Conduct formal and informal user testing to validate and refine prototypes, pre and post release
Researching innovative UI/UX techniques to enhance our products


Design Process and Administration

Ensure adherence with Design standards and Process methodology
Interact with Product Owner and Scrum Master and assist with sprint planning
Submits accurate time estimation on work to be delivered
Change management controls in place to incrementally expand on Design deliverables
