We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative based in Nelspruit - MPUMALANGA.
To represent the interests of John Crane at the customer, while also representing the customer’s interests at John Crane. The Sales Representative should see him/her self as the Managing Director of his own small business unit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Increase and maintain the John Crane market share at existing customers.
Increase and maintain the John Crane market share at existing customers.
Promote full range of products at the existing customers.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities at ‘new’ & ‘dormant’ customers.


Prepare and achieve annual budgets. Regular planned calling on specific customers.
Build up personal and intimate relationships with customers.
Ensure that John Crane is the preferred supplier at customers by applying the necessary skills and knowledge.
Identify and cultivate new, commercially viable, business opportunities, using the full John Crane product range.
Regular planned calling to customers.
Provide technical on-site support to customers.
Proven experience with Rotating Equipment (Pump, Compressors, Turbines etc).
Qualified tradesman an added advantage.
Valid Driver’s license.
Proactive and self-motivated.
Entrepreneurial skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong leadership and influential characteristics.
Report writing skills.
Self-disciplined and confident demeanour.
Effective time management skills.
