About the Position
Technical Architect / Lead Developer - Centurion - C#, Cloud, Docker
You're the person making the big calls. Well one of them anyway. You bring the tech, you get to drive tooling, and you'll even find yourself pushing products because of the tech you bring.
The space is a big one, they're already well known for looking after people. I wouldn't be surprised to find a secret stash of tech achievements though.
You're not going to find the usual corporate space. It's all very cool in a retro kind of way.
They're building a ton of product (consumer facing), internal platforms, moving architecture in the Micro Services space & preparing to head into the cloud.
You're going to find yourself involved in a whole lot of new work.
An Architect with them is a coding beast. You play a high influence hand in tech decision making but there are no whiteboards in your future (we all know that's a lie but it sounds cool). You're going to be digging deep into all of your years' experience on this one.
NB - I have purposely not quoted salary on this ad. Client is not expecting cheapie skills but they're a little nervous about losing good people if they plonk a number down & you fall outside of the minimum or maximum ranges. I've been empowered to discuss salary with you directly.
At your level, the tech you've worked with & the tech you know sometimes get a little grey. Read the below as a picture of what they are using:
We both know that you've been doing this for at least 10 years. You've probably been coding for longer but haven't been counting your private hobby
You know C# fairly well. I'd suggest that you need to have delivered several large commercial projects in C# even if it's not your forte
You've worked Agile
You know the modern standards - CI / CD
You've worked large web platforms
You've at least entered into the Cloud world
You at least dabbled at home into DevOps
They're also using:
.NET Core - everything barring some legacy is in Core
Rest based service - Open API microservices
Azure Service Fabric
