Team Leader Inhouse Sales

Reporting to the Head of Sales , the Sales Team Leader will be responsible for supporting, supervising and directing the inhouse sales agents in achieving their everyday sales targets. The incumbent will be the point of contact for all team members and will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation and collaboration of the team.
Qualifications and Experience required
Minimum NQF Level 5 Higher Certificate and Advanced National (vocational) Certificate in sales
Regulatory Examination (RE5)
At least 5 years sales insurance experience
At least 3 years team supervision experience
Insurance and/or telesales experience
Key areas of responsibility
Daily Team Performance Supervision
Schedule and delegate work to Inhouse Sales Agents to ensure that there is sufficient capacity to achieve daily sales targets
Supervise the Inhouse Sales Agents and ensure that they clearly understand their targets and meet or exceed sales and leads targets
Identify problem areas in the performance outputs of various tele Sales Agents and performance manage where necessary. Ensure that these sessions are documented and store individual agent files for accessibility to HR and the sales management team
Identification and Development of Sales Opportunities
Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential lapses and soliciting new opportunities
Supervise and grow the existing books by checking customer's buying history and offering Flips (upsell)
Suggest related and new value-added services/ products; explaining technical features
Recommend improved solutions and aggregates as per TCF
Relationship Building
Develop and build productive working relationships with other Team Leaders, Field Agents, head office and branches
Assist Field and Inhouse sales employees with escalated field client queries to ensure that matters are resolved efficiently and effectively
Reporting
Monitor and analyse Inhouse Sales Agentsβ performance data (sales applications, leads generated, sales quality, productivity, compliance, merchandizing etc.)
Submit monthly reports on sales & lead generation performance for Field Sales Agents vs. Target Customer Service Management
Identify and report on matters that affect performance and customer experience adversely (sales, administration and claims issues)
