We’re looking for energetic, reliable and positive individuals. We are looking for a Stock Controller to manage our inventory and purchase merchandise based on the hotel’s needs.
Ultimately, you will increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products at all times. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
The main purpose of the role includes, but is not limited to:
Review the daily intake of products into the hotel and ensure accurate pricing and quantity of goods received.
Help control the stores by ensuring the accuracy of inventory and stock control.
Alert F&B Manager and Financial Manager of slow-moving goods and goods nearing expiry dates to reduce waste and alter product purchasing.
Manage supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS) by monitoring and controlling of stock par levels on a daily basis.
Ordering of all new stock and dispensing of stock to all departments for functions and daily operations.
Enter all stock movements into the POS daily.
Acceptance and close control of all incoming goods in respect to volume and quantity.
Responsible for all stock administration and reporting.
Ensure that all stock counts are carried out in accordance with the correct Company procedures.
Ensure month end cut-off procedures, management reports etc are produced accurately and on time.
Enter vendor details into POS.
Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals.
Coordinate and participate in regular stock counts.
Keep updated inventory records.
Ensure purchases do not exceed the budget.

What we are looking for:
Computer literate, with good Microsoft Excel skills.
Proven work experience as a hotel Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
Strong working knowledge of POS and PMS systems.
Excellent organisation skills.
Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Previous hotel experience in a similar role is a requirement for this position.
