Sports Officer: External and Clubs

Purpose of the Job

To organise, manage, plan, administer and liaise with federations for exposing developed

sporting talent.

Requirements: 

A Degree in Sport Science or Human Movement Science or Physical Education or Bio-

Kinetics. 

Two Coaching qualifications in different Sport codes (qualifications in Softball and Hockey

will be an added advantage) 

At least three years’ work experience at Universities. 

Have knowledge of federations’ operations.

Job Profile: 

Identification of talent clubs. 

Liaise with federations. 

Planning for development programmes 

Organise coaches and coaching courses. 

Monitor teams’ participation in federations’ programmes. 

Manage teams in the leagues. 

Make proposals for the appointment and termination of Coaches. 

Develop contracts for coaches. 

Prepare reports on external clubs performances. 

Audit external clubs performances. 

Manage codes of sport. 

Source funding for clubs. 

Prepare proposals for further development 

Manage teams during championships and tournaments. 

Coach teams. 

Organise transport, accommodation and meals for teams during tournaments and league

games. 

Keep data and profiles of students athletes participating in federations’ programme. 

Coordinate student athletes’ injuries treatment and rehabilitation programmes
