SMT Maintenance Technician

Experience and Qualification

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SMT & PCB manufacturing environment
Grade 12 / NQF level 4 or higher
Experience in utilizing SMT equipment
Must have working knowledge of basic electronics, mechanical principals
Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for technical problems on all machines on the PCB (printed circuit board) line
Maintain and operate the automated SMT manufacturing equipment for the assembly of electronic devices
Assist in the creation of reflow oven profiles
Visually inspect SMD materials / assemblies when required to ensure quality
Use sophisticated equipment to perform the surface mount assembly operation on printed circuit boards including screen printing, pick and place machine and reflow oven
PCB assembly (wave soldering, pick-place, reflow)

Participate in the development of new or revised SMT processes
Calibrating of all machine's to industries standards
Knowledge and Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure
Results orientate
Good analytical, and problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Conscientious and diligent working attitude
