About the Position

A skilled SEO Specialist with a strong understanding of Google Analytics is wanted for a well-established Travel and Tourism company located close to the City Centre of Cape Town.

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric

Relevant qualification

In depth technical understanding of search engine optimisation

5+ years’ experience specialising in SEO

Experience in SEO within the travel & tourism vertical

A track record of building high quality organic traffic for clients or employers



DUTIES:

Oversee the SEO strategy through gaining an understanding of our current business and paid search strategy

Assist in the oversight and execution of metadata issues and potential optimizations of the website

Generate and execute on a link building strategy that would assist in generating high value and topically relevant follow backlinks in order to increase domain authority

Work with trade partners and the travel blogging community in order to generate backlinks and increase domain authority

Assist in the generation of our Travel Blog content strategy through informing that content plan with keyword opportunities within the safari industry

Review and optimise website copy for SEO purposes

Audit and improve architecture for improved SEO performance

Assist in building the topical trust flow of the website toward travel and tourism

Ensure that the website and SEO tactics follows best practices with regards to Google’s guidelines and that we are prepared for any algorithm updates

Assist in developing a voice search strategy and other digital or technological trends that may impact on the way in which customers use Google


SALARY: Dependent on experience
