Main Purpose of Job:

To give technical expertise in the development and implementation of interventions and strategies of the Right to Care Programmes at all supported areas to improve patient TB / HIV outcomes
To focus a significant portion of effort on integrating TB/HIV technical assistance to different Right to Care funded programmes
Required Minimum Education:

MBChB
Postgraduate qualification in public heath
Five years in the Clinical Practice of TB, MDR TB, HIV
Five years or more in Medical Education
Experience in research or HAST Programme is beneficial.
Experience of engagement with national, provincial and district management structures and familiarity with key national TB/HIV [URL Removed] in Quality improvement
Key Performance Areas:

Ensure good working relations with all staff at supported sites
Compile monthly and quarterly reports and ensure regular feedback to the program lead as instructed by line manager
Represent RtC at district and provincial, meetings
Update knowledge on the TB Programme Strategic Objectives and current TB Programme priorities.
Support the efforts of the Province and District at Decentralization/De-institutionalization of DR TB management
Provide advise to Provincial Program Manager and Right To Care management on TB program QIP priorities in the District and Province.
Assist the DoH District and Provincial TB Programme Leads with systematic review and analysis of priority indicators
Assist DoH District and Provincial TB Programme Leads with analysis and interpretation of TB Outcome data for intervention planning
Review literature and provide evidence to support TB interventions
Support sites and TB programme leads with the implementation of quality improvement interventions, TB policies, protocols and guidelines
Assist the DoH District and Provincial TB Programme Leads with systematic review and analysis of priority indicators

Ensure all clinical stationary is well understood and completed by all staff at supported sitesAssist the TB Technical / MDR TB Advisor with the Evaluation of TB interventions and their impact on TB outcomes
In-service training of medical, nursing and allied health care workers,Didactic lectures at Regional Training Centres, symposiums, and clinical forumsClinical guidance to management.
Provide guidance on clinical content of training and curriculum
Provide clinical mentoring, support and coaching for medical officers and nursesIdentify and develop skills of potential mentors
Develop standard operating procedures to improve TB [URL Removed] mentees throughout the duration of the mentorship
Participation in clinical meetings and teleconferences Work with Province/District/Sub-district management to lead and facilitate the implementation of new programme, policy and guideline recommendations
Work with facility managers and multidisciplinary staff to improve facility processes and HIV servicesParticipate in technical working groups on MDRTB integration at national, provincial and district levels.
