SAP Accounting Specialist

Leading Automotive Manufacturer is seeking a highly experienced SAP Accounting Specialist to join the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting & Fixed Assets

Perform the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet analysis and reporting.
Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all company entities.
Ensures that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.
Running the books according to accounting and tax standards (IFRS, Local GAAP)
Direct perform month-end and year-end closing activities, prepare financial statements and produce forecasts and budget according to schedule, as well as all Fixed Assets related activities.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Audit, Legal & Compliance

Perform work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. Is further responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings
Implementing and maintain a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, guidelines and IFRS
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Fluency in English is mandatory
Graduated in Accounting, and registered as a chartered accountant is mandatory
Proven experience as accountant (at least 5 years) within a multinational industrial business is mandatory (Automotive Industry desirable)
Deep and strong knowledge of SAP is a must
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles and Fixed Assets accounting.
Proactive approach with ability to work autonomously, and to work collaboratively across departmental functions
Good knowledge of excel
Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls and financial reporting, required
Willing to work flexible hours.
