Within Compute and Networking, we are seeking a Datacenter Sales Specialist – Distribution and SADC to join us in Bryanston and promote enterprise solutions that allow companies to enable value and efficiency through effective technology solutions.

Key responsibilities


Your objective will be to drive growth across a portfolio of development or acquisition accounts within SA and SADC to achieve targets. You will be expected to build strong customer relationships within the SA and SADC region and keep abreast of market trends to develop and execute strategies that deliver high value solution focused sales. The role will involve:

Focus on the top local distributors, SADC partners and accounts to drive profitable growth within the accounts while developing strategic plans to enable future growth of this specific account list
Prepare detailed product specifications for the purpose of selling high end Compute and Networking products and solutions
Leading SADC and local distribution account management, including account planning and sales forecasting and engaging cross-functional resources
Advising customers/partners on strategic business and technology solutions

Working with the account teams to ensure alignment across the organizations
Providing sales leadership and experience on large, complex sales opportunities
Essential requirements

Proven sales track record of success within Distribution
Extensive experience of selling datacentre solutions into SADC partners
Advanced knowledge of Servers and related solutions to aid in technical environment designs being the subject matter expert in one or more workloads (SAP HANA, Oracle, HPC, SDS, SDN, VDI, HCI and Hybrid Cloud environments)
Ability to provide insight and thought leadership to senior/CXO/partner leadership to position solutions that will positively impact the Customer’s business
Deep expertise of market trends that impact on Dell’s SADC customers
Effective presentation, negotiation and executive relationship-building skills
Fluency in English
