Sales Representative – Controls / BMS (Durban)

What you will do

The Sales Representative – Controls / BMS will be reporting directly to the Branch Manager, CF&S South Africa. As part of a growing team, located in Durban, you will be responsible for delivering a sales target in South Africa territory across the Building Management Systems (BMS) used for comfort and energy efficiency across multiple industries including commercial, retail, industrial, pharmaceuticals and hospitality in direct sales and conducting distributor management in indirect sales.

You will be concentrated on selling Metasys, our Controls product, growing our market share with new business customers. As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to generate new business.

How you will do it

As a Sales Representative, you will chase, qualify and close new sales opportunities of directly project sales and indirectly distributor management not only in Durban but across South Africa region, slightly out of South Africa by creating competitive, high quality proposals and also take part in tendering and bidding process. You’ll demonstrate your expertise by differentiating Johnson Controls, leveraging your deep market knowledge of our competitor’s strategies, products and services.

You are focused to seek and develop long term customer relationships, and self-motivated to drive your territory growth. You’re determined and consistent in your approach to work, managing multiple priorities simultaneously because of your excellent planning, and time management skills.
Qualifications
What we look for
Required

Degree in Electrical / IT / Electronics
3 years’ experience in installation solution sales in Controls, Fire & Security - specifically BMS/ELV/CCTV
Ability to design technical solutions, work independently, work-oriented, select equipment and advise customers on solutions
Proven track record of delivering sales within the South Africa
Determined, results driven, strong sales drive
Fluent language skills in English
