Retail Stock Analyst

An opportunity has become available in our planning department for a retail stock analyst

who has strong analytical, logical reasoning and numerical abilities. The person will be required to oversee the allocations, stock management, ordering and reports for Absolute Pets

Duties include:

Completing of weekly orders and monitoring the delivery of stock
Assist with store ranging and ideal stock levels
Manage promotional stock as well as communication with stores for promotions
Measure & record promotional activity & performance
Constant communication with stores and field
Store and merchandise-related analysis

Analytical support and feedback to influence the Planning and Buying team
Determine store stock requirements and update these weekly
Compile & distribute month end reports
Requirements:

Qualification and/or work experience in a related field
Must have excellent Excel skills – Must be proficient in vlookups, hlookups and pivot tables.
A high degree of numeracy and a detailed and accurate approach to work
Able to effectively time manage
The ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to show initiative and be resourceful
Sound decision making ability
Good Interpersonal skills
Self-motivator and a team player
