SASOL ENERGY
The Energy business manages the marketing and sales of all Sasolโ€™s oil, gas and electricity products in Southern Africa. In addition, our mandate is to oversee the growth of Sasolโ€™s direct liquid fuels marketing presence, with a strong bias toward retail outlets in Southern Africa.
Internationally, we are responsible for Sasolโ€™s gas-to-liquid (GTL) business ventures based on our proprietary technology, creating higher-value products.

ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage Sasol's relationship with Franchisees and dealers in designated geographical areas/regions according to specific market segment service offering guidelines.
To optimize sales through Sasol's assets and in the process maximize return on investment, through the business support of franchisees / dealers.
To foster superior customers service.
To enforce compliance to Sasol brand and operating standards
Flexible to be based anywhere in the country
Operate from virtual office
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

Planning and decision making to assist other stakeholders in the value chain to plan and optimize production facilities.
Achieve short term volume forecasting within 95% - 105% deviation of Picasso.
Meet monthly forecast sales volume and budget requirements including C-store and bakery turnover.
Tracking performance of all sites in a given portfolio against the Business Score Card.
Benchmarking operating expenses for a retail site.
Anticipate credit needs of franchisees / dealers and pro-actively arrange for appropriate action.
Manage own cash fixed costs within the approved target.
Implement the retail and convenience strategy.
Ensure successful implementation of all retail programs and initiatives focused on business performance and development.
Manage franchise network as per the provisions of the Franchise Agreement.

SHE, Safety, Risk and Compliance
Implement a Safety Improvement Plan for self and own network
Achieve and sustain a RCR target of 0
Ensure Safety audits from Safety inspectors are implemented and that identified corrective action is completed
Ensure 100% compliance with HSE including statutory documentation
Ensure 90% compliance on food Safety as per external audits
Ensure 100% monthly fuel stock recon compliance inclusive of the process to reconcile possible fuel losses.

Leadership to manage and exceed customer's expectation
Provide professional advice to Franchisee's on competitor activities, how to improve their margins and benchmarking
Manage the asset register by taking ownership of the process to ensure accuracy of equipment
Manage the state and quality of Sasol's assets on site which also may include facilitating the process to replace equipment where necessary
Making sure that sites achieve 85 % on Mystery Shopper results
Ensure Standardization of C-Store Planogram

Learning and development
Ensure all new franchise appointments attended compulsory training and are fully competent
Support franchisees as a knowledgeable user of onsite systems (Retalix, ATG, etc.)
Identify training needs at sites and recommend training initiatives

Organization and follow-up to improve the Sasol brand image and customer focus
Ensure that retail filling stations are in a good operating condition and within the Sasol standards
Ensure customer complaints received are attended to within 24 hours (Franchisee complaints and Customer complaints).
Facilitation of maintenance process on calls logged by franchisee to ensure successful closure of the call.
Manage resolution of franchisee queries by taking ownership of the query and provide continuous feedback to all stakeholders.

Manage relationship with Franchisees to derive maximum value from the capital invested in the retail network
Provide expert knowledge and support to ensure operation excellence and application of operating standards.
To execute all programs that are developed by other functions, to ensure Sasol is a leader in the market
Act as a Sasol Ambassador to build the credibility of the company.
Fully understand internal processes to ensure effective management of franchisee relationship, swift resolution of problems and be the first point of contact for franchisees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualification:
A relevant Bachelorโ€™s Degree or BTEC (Must)

Experience:
A minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience in a Sales or Key Account Management position/environment within the Retail/Petroleum sector. Working knowledge of SHE issues, and can guide and enforce compliance in the retail network. Understand forecasting and can add value in assisting the franchisee/Dealer to grow their business.
