Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Regional Key Account Manager to join our dynamic team.

JOB SUMMARY

Represent and sell the brand and associated private labels in the predefined area of the Western Cape. Maintain and grow sales and margin within stores by building long term relationships and ensuring consistent achievement of your key responsibilities.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate your customer profile, set up and maintain a call cycle to ensure customers receive the required brand support.
Consistently evaluate your product sales and margin to ensure your area maintains and exceeds volume sales.
Activate and maintain point of sale and brand support material and signage.
Plan and active customer promotion calendar. You are required to work 2 x Saturday mornings a month. Time off will be allocated during the week.
Provide technical support to customers and consumers.
Provide product training to customers. This includes identifying under performing and key products to ensure that this training results in elevated sales.

Plan and activate planograms as required.
Manage customer stock profiles to ensure consistent and correct range activation at store level.
Maintain merchandizing standards this includes making sure product is packed out on shelf, correctly priced, clean, undamaged, rotated to ensure older stock sells out first and aligned to the brands product categories.
Conduct competitor surveys with plans to activate and grow sales in the brand and or private label.
Ensure company is maintaining service level and communicate any issues to your manager.
Manage returns / damage goods in line with company procedures.
Capture and maintained information required by company CRM software.
Ensure all customer complaints are handled according to company process and procedures.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Previous experience in a customer facing sales position supplying retail outlets.
Strong relationship development skills
Good knowledge of how paint, building materials and cleaning chemical products function.
Good planning and activation skills
Good time and task prioritization skills
Strong ability to engage and activate on customer needs.
Ability to organize and track tasks with an attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Provide quality input into the team to ensure broader strategic goals are achieved.
Be flexible and enjoy working in a rapidly changing team based environment.
Good market analytical skills
Conduct yourself in a courteous manner and be well presented at all times.

Previous sales experience
Previous experience using CRM software
Previous sales training
