Requirement Overview
Paarl Media Gauteng, a division of Novus Holdings, seeks to appoint a Reelstand Operator (Lithoman) to join the press team. The role will be responsible for supplying the press with the correct paper. The position will be reporting to the Shift leader - Press and is based in Linbro Park, Johannesburg.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Ensure that paper used for production complies with specifications

•Work strictly according to specifications of SOP’s
•Prepare the reel for the reelstand, and loading of paper for web up
•Load plates on press from time to time
•Minimize the strip off layer
•Ensure that reel preparation for splicing is made up as per standard
•Timeous completion of all checklists and information required for shift report – including white waste for MIS recording
•Collect samples on all paper breaks for investigation purposes

Educational Requirements
•Grade 12 National Senior Certificate


Experience Requirements
•2 years’ industry related experience

•Good technical understanding

•Detail oriented
•Trouble shooting abilities
•Knowledge of various printing presses
