To handle all aspects of room or travel reservations for guests and travel agents. Ensure accurate payment processing and excellent communication skills with the aim on customer satisfaction. Be aware of all relevant policies, rates, events and promotions.
Checking in and out of guests
Various communication and support to guests, internal departments and employees when needed.
Ability to multi-task and stand in for Reservationist and Switchboard
Sound knowledge of general hotel practices, billing and credit card procedures
Use the POS system competently and follow departmental procedures correctly.
Experience in front office and reservations in hotel environment will be an advantage
Proficient with Microsoft package (Outlook, Excel ,Word and Power Point)
Great communication skills and ability to handle more than one telephonic request when required.
Proven ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
Familiarity with Protel booking system and booking engines (CRS) system
Ability to maintain reservation system
Ability to handle all type of customers and deal with customer complaints
Friendly, enthusiastic and ability to work under pressure
Ability to work day and night shift as operationally required
Adhere to all the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of Boschendal and Reservations division
