JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a responsibly receiving clerk to receive, record and enter stock into our accounting software. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the order, following standard operating procedures in ensuring the stock complies to company regulations, quality, quantities and as per ordering.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with inventory staff to list expected deliveries
Receive, GRV stock and sign paperwork upon receipt
Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
Submit non-conformance reports
Recording of batch codes

Allocate stock to the correct areas within the warehouse
Working well in a team, following up and being proactive
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric or higher
Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
Working knowledge of computer programs (in particular Pastel) for entering data
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
Proficient math and recording abilities
Excellent organisational skills
Great communication and interpersonal abilities
Food safety systems / HACCP experience is essential
