QUALITY AUTOMOTIVE MANAGER

Job Details
1.
Achieve quality management operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, quality and customer service standards; identifying and resolving problems; planning and completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change
2.
Meets quality department financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective action, implementing cost saving ideas and train peers in quality awareness
3.
Validate quality processes by measuring production quality; documenting evidence; writing and updating quality procedures, Control Plans, FMEA’s and process charts.
4.
Maintain and improve product quality by responding to internal and external CAR and closing timeously, investigating and collaborating with other members of the management team on product improvement initiatives
5.
Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, capability studies, recalls and corrective actions
Candidate Requirements
1.
Minimum requirement - National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering / B-Tech in Quality

2.
VDA 6.3 Certificate
3.
TS 16949 Certificate (internal audits)
4.
At least 5 years relevant experience with a proven track record.
5.
Sound practical knowledge of TS 16949; VDA6.3 and ISO 14001
6.
Fully conversant in APQP, PPAP, PSW, FMEA, Control Plans and G8D
7.
Computer literacy in MS Office
8.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
9.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings
10.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
11.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deal with complexity
Required Skills
Quality Management : 4 to 5 years
Quality Reporting : 4 to 5 years
Production Quality : 4 to 5 years
