Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:
Advanced knowledge of VIP Payroll system.
Excellent knowledge of payroll and legislative requirements.
Must have 1 to 3 years' experience on running large payrolls.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
Must possess considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
Must have knowledge of shift permutations and overtime calculations.
Some supervisory experience an advantage.
Maintain and update payroll records (for approx 600 staff).
Collection of information and updating/inputting data.
Collate and process all and various leave.
Check payroll before payment.
Monitor requests for loans.
Manage all payroll related queries.
Load new employees, link to correct earnings and deductions.
Process terminations, retrenchments, UIF schedules, dummy payslips.
Understand BCEA and keep informed of changes to Tax Legislation.
Liaison with Union.
Oversee the medical aid reconciliation.
Organise roster for audit by VIP every second month and do self audits.
Garnishee and maintenance orders for all companies, action on VIP, query and question balances.
Prepare payroll reports as required from time to time.
Collate stats every 3 months.
Assist HR with annual Employment Equity submissions.
Generate and prepare management reports.
Prepare paysum and leave cost pivot tables.
Tme and Attendance:
Management of time and attendance with regards to staff clocking, absenteeism, short time, overtime, leave, shift allowance and general administration of time and attendance.
Assist employees on queries as and when required.
