Description
Reports to: Payroll Accountant

Purpose of the role:

Processing of all entries on the payroll accounts.
Third party payment preparation
Reconciliation of payroll balance sheet accounts
Reconciliation of bank accounts

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile Bank statement transactions to the General Ledger. Reconciliation to comply with Balance Sheet Integrity standard i.e. reconciliation, validation and verification. Responsible for timely resolution of reconciliation items.
Reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts. Reconciliation to comply with Balance Sheet Integrity standard i.e. reconciliation, validation and verification. Responsible for timely resolution of reconciliation items.
Responsible for the accounting accuracy and completeness of journals and batch processing into the GL.
Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the payroll bank transactions.
Verify receipts and payments to entries on the Bank statement.
Investigate and assist in the resolving of bank account queries, including resolving queries and exceptions with banks, finance and the business.
Analyse banking fee charges to actual transactions and provide month on month comparisons.
Provide cover and assistance as required for all other roles in the Treasury team.
Assist with Ad-hoc requests from the Lead.
Requirements:

2-3 years relevant experience in accounting/payroll accounting
Matric with relevant accounting degree
