This position is located at the Company’s head office in Port Elizabeth and reports into the Managing Director and Financial Manager. The primary focus of this role is to manage all aspects of IR and HR administration. Addition duties involve Payroll administration and liaison with the National Bargaining Council for Road Freight and Logistics Industry.

Salary Package: Negotiable + medical aid and pension fund. Performance-based bonus.

Working Hours: M-F, 08h00 to 16h30

Responsibilities include:
Dealing with IR and HR issues - staff discipline, leave, sick leave and trade unions
Submitting NBCRFI reports (Provident fund and leave applications)
Updating and upgrading HR Admin documentation (such as contracts, company code of conduct)
Administer Payroll function for 40 monthly-paid staff
Must be prepared to travel periodically to handle disciplinary matters in other provinces

Minimum requirements:
Minimum 3 - 5 years HR administration and payroll experience is essential
Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle
NDip / B Degree: HR or similar, is required
Have a strong, yet approachable manner
Proven working knowledge of HR and IR matters
Must have knowledge of HR policies and procedures
Support all HR administrative functions (updating of staff files, contracts etc.)
Work accurately and meet reporting deadlines
Solid knowledge of all applicable HR related legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE, BBBEEE)
Extensive liaison with the SDF regarding training needs and WSP/ ATR preparation and submission
Be able to solve problems
Firm communication skills a required and being able to converse in isiXhosa is a definite advantage
Have working experience in HR/personnel administration and can deal with Trade Unions
