Parts Manager will manage parts department, must have experience in a purchasing department and a minimum of a matric
Managing parts stock control (ensuring the right products are ordered and available) and ensuring parts availability of 95%
Ordering of all parts required for the business local or international
Distribution and allocation of all parts between the Handling branches
Negotiating parts pricing
Formulating and adopting parts selling price along with senior management
Managing van stock from all regions
Ensuring that parts return shipment is done annually
Implementing new systems to improve parts ordering and distribution
Implementing better controls for parts distribution to technicians
Driving βgenuine parts campaignβ on products
Visiting all branches and regions to ensure controls are in place
Negotiate prices with suppliers
Drive warehouse processes as it relates to purchasing
Maintain and update price list on the system
Annual report on obsolete stock and return to supplier
Maintain master data as it relates to purchasing on the system
Weekly stock order report and placement of orders
Sea freight stock ordering on time, within specification and cost
Weekly feedback to parts on back orders
Monitor inventory levels and maintain availability
Monitor obsolete stock level
Follow up and resolve account queries
Run emergency order report as required
Facilitate interbranch/plant stock transfers
Replenishment of all branches and storage locations
Effective and timeous communication with suppliers and internal customers
Grade 12
2 years in a purchasing department
Attention to detail
