is top leading private hospital located in the southern suburbs of Cape Town is seeking Paediatrics ICU Registered Nurses with minimum of 2 years Paediatrics ICU experience to join their Paediatrics ICU unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• As an RN – PICU you will contribute to the holistic care of patients
• Communicating effectively with patients’ family regarding their care
• Promote patient health and wellbeing
• Practice the principles of infection prevention and all Standard precautions
• Execute all procedures according to Hospital standards
• Adhere to all Hospital policies and principles
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act
• Work effectively and co-operatively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships that are mutually beneficial
• Manage acuity and skill mix to ensure appropriate level of care.

Requirements:
• SANC Registered Nursing

• Have Neonatal ICU or Paediatrics ICU experience
• Post basic in Paediatrics ICU will be advantageous
• Be able to work independently and know what to do when complication arises
• Be ventilator competent – Able to adjust vent & vent techs
• Can read blood gas & act accordingly
