PG Glass Africa distributes, replaces and repairs auto glass and building glass in Southern African territories outside of South Africa's border. PG Africa currently has a footprint in 10 African countries.

PG Glass Africa is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Operations Manager- Africa.

Main job purpose

To manage, advise and control the PG Glass National Network to achieve key business strategies and objectives in an environment of adherence to divisional operational standards. In addition, to provide business consultation with regards to brand standards, customer experience, operations, finance, human resources, sales, IT and marketing.

Main Objective

Develop an effective operation strategy to give effect to business strategy.
Drive implementation, measurement of success and continuous improvement of operational strategy.
Manage the operations to ensure the high performance network standards and objectives are achieved including the management of image, processes - customer journey and Low effort customer experience as well as Fitment expertise. Look for continuous improvement opportunities.
Implementing the defined business processes (PG way) which includes admin business processes, technical business processes.

Convert sales opportunities in order to make network profitable through implementing national deal customer processes, repair before replace, building glass and through add-on sales such as product offering. In conjunction with operational sales teams look to grow local relationships and sales opportunities.
Drive customer experience in order to enhance PG value propositions, repeat customer dealings (key differentiation to our competitors)
Ensure business operations are run profitably with income and cost drivers which includes structure, productivity, wastage and efficiency.
Uphold and ensure compliance to brand standards promoting a professional image and customer experience.
Develop KPI measures and reporting requirements to give effect to the business requirements.
To ensure staff are effectively managed and held accountable through performance and disciplinary procedures, and that staff are developed and mentored through the talent management and IDP processes to drive capability in business.
Ensure Legislative compliance including Health and Safety
Drive and promote teamwork with internal PG Glass and Group Divisions to facilitate the achievement of the operational strategy.
Any other reasonable work related requirements in order to achieve the operational objectives.

Relevant Bachelor Degree (Operations/ Business Management)

Experience

Total of 8-10 years in relevant retail/service operation and posess a strong knowledge of technical, administration and service centre control procedures.
5 years of the total years of functional experience must have been in a Managerial role
Proven experience in Financial and commercial management - able to demonstrate achievement of significant business results and targets.
Knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness and operations managmeent with evidence of achievement in influencing, leading and motivating a number of teams
