Financial Management
Monitor annual sales strategy and quarterly targets and prepare reports, annual budgets, and submit regular sales forecasts.
People Management
Ensure that quarterly appraisals of sales staff is conducted.
Provide training, guidance and coaching to sales staff.
Drive sales budget delivery and meeting of sales targets.
Manage monthly targets, production and activity.
Create a vision and strategy for the Department.
Recruitment.
Planning and Strategy Development
Responsible for designing the sales strategy along with the succesful communication and delivery of the strategy.

Responsible and accountable for developing and executing business strategies to deliver growth in accordance with the strategic plans. Formulation and implementation of interventions to deliver sustained performance in terms of securing new business opportunities.
Responsibility for new business development, negotiations in line with proposed budgeted growth.
Monitor and evaluate emerging business opportunities with a view to position the sales resources and technical capability accordingly.
Reporting and Communication
Responsible for monhtly sales reporting to Manco.
Report sales strategy to Board.
Analyse monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial performance and prepare reports for each Sales Manager showing actual versus target (budget) performance.
Risk Management and Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable Legislation.
Acts in an ethical way when dealing with company equipment, assets, cleitns and employees.
Key Individuals
Act within the standards and rules set by Legislation.
Fulfil contractual obligations as agreed to.
Management and oversight of Statutory obligations of the FSP.
Rendering of financial services of the FSP and persons authorised to act on its behalf.
Business processes and operational ability.
Instil a culture fo treating customers fairly in all aspects fo the business.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12
Relevant NQF 5 Qualification
RE 5 & RE 1
BComm Degree/Marketing Degree (advantageous)
Minimum 8 - 12 years experience
Experience within the Long-Term Insurance field
