About the Position

This global logistics company is currently seeking the services of a National Manager: Finance, to play a critical role in the management, oversight and assistance of the financial function, namely: controls, reporting, business intelligence, tax compliance, cash flow centralisation, customer on-boarding and credit compliance as well as procurement responsibilities.



Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:-

Chartered Accountant (SA).
Minimum of 5 years post qualification (articles) work experience at a large corporate.
Corporate finance / advisory type work.
Financial management.
Financial Manager experience.
Strong report writing skills.

SAP experience advantageous.
Professional registration with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.


Job Specification:-

Reporting and Business Intelligence:


Ownership of execentity including management fees and cost centre reporting.
Review of internal financial control process. Process design and controls incollaboration with Internal Audit.
Provide support on payroll analytics / HR Torque reporting.
Tax Compliance:


Provide tax support to the BU's.
Manage provisional and year end tax deadline.
Develop appropriate tax dashboarding across all BU's.
Cash Flow Review Centralisation:


Manage and optimise working capital.
Redesign of cash flow reporting processes (BI) with a focus on efficient and effective processes with minimal manual intervention.
Customer On-boarding and Credit Compliance:


Develop system of credit analysis.
Develop and maintain a Board approved Credit Policy.
Manage customer onboarding, credit application and credit approval.
Procurement Responsibilities:


Rationalisation and custodian of spend categories and material codes.
Implement contract management (in SAP for all entities).
Monitor BBBEE compliance per the new generic or sector codes.
Monitor and report on top 10 spend.
Standardisation of procurement process including business procurement support.
Develop working relationships with businesses in successfully implementing the sourcing strategies.
Achieve required cost saving/cost avoidance/revenue enhancements from the sourcing strategies.
Establish a functional procurement forum.
