Job Description:

Good communication skills, assertiveness and persuasiveness is what it takes in this role which involves contacting arrears customers to collect on the overdue installments for all lending products, thereby minimizing bad debt write offs.
Effectively tracing and contacting arrears customers to collect on the overdue and handed over amounts for all divisions, thereby minimizing bad debt outsourcing.
Have an understanding of ITC defaults and payment profile listings
Rehabilitating customers/debtors through excellent customer service standards.
Comply with the set out rules and regulations of the company
Good understanding of credit recovery techniques
Debt council certificate would be an advantage
Understanding of the lifecycle of an account
Understanding of the collection process and the systems that drive these processes.
Job Requirements:
A good telephone manner, customer service orientation and attention to detail is what it takes to succeed in this role, as well as the following key requirements:
β’ Grade 12 qualification
β’ 1 yearsβ experience in debt collection and/or relevant tertiary qualification
β’ Knowledge of NCA requirements pertaining to collections and credit control;
β’ Understanding of the life-cycle of an account;
β’ Understanding of the collection process and the systems that drive these processes
β’ Able to work overtime when required
β’ Computer literacy β MS Office.
NB. We require more Night Shift staff at this stage, with working hours as follows:(Night Shift) is between 11h30-20h00 and (Dayshift Shift) is between 8h00-16h30.
