Introduction

The purpose of the job is to provide microbiological technical support to the sales team by conducting microbiological analyses and providing clear and comprehensive reports.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Conducting microbiological analysis and generating reports while ensuring that microbiological best practice is upheld within the laboratory
Conducting some chemical analysis
Assisting in coaching and mentoring In-Service Trainees
Execute continuous improvement and project management initiatives
Ensuring compliance with SHERQ requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications:

3 Year Microbiology/Biotechnology National Diploma or equivalent
Experience:

Minimum 2 Years’ experience in the Microbiological Field
Advanced knowledge of applied microbiology
Good understanding of laboratory methods and procedures
Good understanding of laboratory safety policies and procedures
Basic understanding of chemistry and how it relates to microbiological problems
Basic understanding of core business principles
Attributes:

Able to handle pressure
Good attention to detail
Good problem solving skills
Must be able to communicate at all levels, be organized and self -disciplined
Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft packages and understanding of business systems is a necessity
