We have an exciting opportunity available for somebody who is keen to work as part of a dynamic team within our homeware department, while supporting the Buyers and Planning team.
The ideal individual would be someone who displays high attention to detail, is very organised and has a positive and energetic approach.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to the following:
Systems, processes and general administration:
Timeously prepare samples for meetings;
Create and maintain filing system;
Ensure samples are provided to the relevant parties timeously (Supplier, Buyer, QA);
Co-ordinate the movement of samples between departments and suppliers;
Liaising with suppliers with regards to packaging specifications, as well as shipment dates (as per orders);
Co-ordination of outward and inward bound parcels;
Recording the movements of all product, swatches, artwork, colour submissions on the GIS system;
Ensuring the availability of garments for reviews/showings etc.;
Constant liaison with vendors/buyers on day to day issues;
iProc (internal payment system) activities/orders for local packaging;
General administration.
Requirements
Minimum of a Matric Certificate;
Admin experience in a clothing retailer or an importer ideal.
Must be computer literate (Working knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.);
Ability to work under pressure;
Self-motivated and be able to work independently;
Must pay attention to detail;
Strong team orientation;
Good communication skills (written and verbal);
Positive and enthusiastic approach;
Organised and systematic.
