Maintenance Handyman - Luxury Hotel

Main Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the interior and exterior of company premises. The ability to respond to all situations demanded. To assist with other departmental and hotel duties as assigned by Management occasionally or on a daily basis. The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery. Recommend value addition to existing systems and procedures. Responsible for executing tasks related to maintaining equipment in proper and efficient operating condition. Maintain the building structure and upkeep of the aesthetics and décor through constant scrutinising of detail in guest and back of house areas. Responsible for timely completion of job orders and prompt resolving of guest complaints. Ensure requests are followed through to guest satisfaction. Communicate progress and concerns effectively to ensure service excellence at all times. Knowledge in electrical wiring, circuit boards, light bulbs, etc. Knowledge in plumbing. Knowledge in painting. Knowledge in paving and brickwork. To conduct or duties in accordance with hotel standards. The ability to keep Management well informed.

Required Qualifications & Experience Previous hospitality background advantageous. Strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina Ability to work independently. Willing to work shifts. Basic computer literacy. Willingness to go the extra mile. Team orientated. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
