Long Term Insurance Specialist

Job Requirements

Drive new Long term and Life insurance product sales
Provide ongoing client service and do an annual review on each client’s portfolio
Liaise with product suppliers on underwriting, claims and general queries
Advise new and existing clients on the company’s product offering compared to existing policies within industry regulations and standards
Administer new applications, and ensure that clients pay their premiums
Ensure that claims are correctly processed
Interact with underwriters and risk analysts to ensure prompt and fair settlement of claims
Required Qualifications & Experience

Matric (Grade 12)
Registered with the Financial Services Board as a Representative (RE5)
2+ years’ experience in a similar position selling long term insurance is essential. Experience selling complex life products will be an advantage.

Excellent working knowledge FAIS & FSCA and familiar with most recent regulatory updates/changes
Computer literate
Applicants must comply with Fit and Proper requirements as outlined in the FIC Act
DOFA Registration
FSCA approved qualification
Applicable Class of Business certification
A post matric business qualification or 120 FAIS Credits will be an advantage.

Independent (ability to manage own time and activities)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong relationship building skills
Ability to work under pressure (Reaching sales targets and meeting tight time deadlines when interacting with clients and providers in respect of policies and claims)
Note: Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be in possession of a valid drivers’ licence and must have their own reliable vehicle
