Essential: BSc Honours in Biomedical Science / Life Science field with 2-3 years’ experience in relevant diagnostic lab analysis, sample collection, data capture & associated data management in medical field.
Must be organised, hardworking and find love in the details. Must be proficient in excel and have great numeracy skills. Must have excellent communication skills in English, driver’s license, own transport, and already living in Cape Town.

Contract position, between 6-12 months
A well-established biomedical company is looking for an organised, detail orientated individual with a relevant BSc Hons Biomedical / Life science degree.
This administrative role will require a methodical and meticulous approach to support the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Typical duties in this role include data capture & collection, placing data into LIMS format, QC checks, management of support queries, liaising with lab personnel across the multinational sites, performing test scripts for validation of the LIMS system. Knowledge and experience in diagnostic lab analysis and relevant clinical trial experience is required as well as experience with other PC and standard software (Microsoft Excel, Word, and database programming SQL). Quality assurance & experience in writing SOP’s for Lab and LIMS applications advantageous.
Honours Degree in medical or life science field (medical biosciences / biomedical technology / microbiology / molecular biology / human life sciences etc.)
2-3 years relevant data management experience
Proficient in Excel with great numeracy skills & ability to programme in SQL
Strong administrative skills
Excellent communication skills in English
Valid driver’s license & own transport
South African citizenship
Must reside in Cape Town
Eye for detail / Organised and efficient / Works hard under pressure
