Human Resources Consultant-South African Reserve Bank

The main purpose of this position is to assist the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) in implementing people management practices, provide administrative support, and participate in the delivery of end-to-end human resources (HR) services to the allocated Cluster within the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).


Detailed Description






The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

· Partner with the HRBPs in implementing people management practices within client departments.
· Provide administrative support.

· Coordinate and facilitate the recruitment processes to ensure that they meet the recruitment requirements for the allocated Cluster and that the sourced candidates are placed accordingly.
· Support the HRBPs in the implementation of HR policies, create awareness (as needed), and recommend ways in which to implement improved HR processes and procedures.
· Provide support to the job-profiling process in terms of documentation and logistical arrangements, and participate as an observer in the design and/or redesign of functional structures within client departments.
· Facilitate the resolution of issues related to employee relations as they arise, and ensure the proper and complete documentation thereof.
· Assist in the implementation of key performance management initiatives, which include the development of performance plans.
· Advise management and other staff members on HR issues to ensure the fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures within the client departments.
· Conduct meetings with the HRBPs to discuss operational objectives and ensure that priorities are well coordinated.
· Comply with the SARB’s policies and legislative requirements in order to adequately mitigate risk and achieve the SARB’s objectives.


Job Requirements






To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

· a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Social Sciences, or an equivalent qualification; and
· 2-5 years’ HR experience.
