Job Purpose The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government aims to employ two (2) suitable and competent individuals to render administrative support services to the Directorate People Empowerment. The successful candidate must be willing to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. This position is based in Cape Town.
Minimum Requirements Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent ); A minimum of 1 year relevant experience in Human Resource Development Environment.
Recommendation Working knowledge and experience in the following: People Development environment; Clerical duties (logistical arrangements for meetings, minutes and agenda, filing, record-keeping); Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service with specific reference to HRD in the Public Service; Procedures in terms of the working environment; Project Management.
Key Performance Areas Provide administrative support; Assist with the administration of internships, bursaries and learnerships, Assist with skills development facilitation duties; Database Management using MS Excel.
Competencies Knowledge of Public Service and People Development legislation, processes and documentation; Proven computer literacy with proficiency in Excel; Communication (verbal and written) skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape; Planning and organising skills; Project Management skills; Problem Solving.
Remuneration R 163 563 per annum (Salary level 5), plus 37% in lieu of service benefits
Note on remuneration:
Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.
MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed.
Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
