About the Position
The Motor Industry Bargaining Council (MIBCO) is looking for a suitably qualified Human Resources Administrator who will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient Human Resources and Payroll administration function that is aligned with departmental and company strategic goals
Duties and responsibilities
Payroll administration and query resolution including employee payroll queries
Ensure leave processing and query resolution
Benefit administration, attend to queries including external third parties
HR Accounts administration and ensure timeous submissions including monthly accruals

Oversee all HR systems and troubleshoot, assist users and resolve queriesAssist in managing HR contracts
Assist and oversee the management of general staff members
Assist with the management of facilities
Coordinate and prepare for external audits
Ensure all HR administration and filing is completed within the required timelines
Attend to HR general queries and escalate to relevant persons where required
Take and compile minutes for HR meetings
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability
Ability to build strong effective relationships with all employees as well as external and internal stakeholders, i.e. service providers, colleagues
Ability to listen and give feedback
Ability to work independently and use initiative along with problem solving abilities
Ability to withstand pressure and manage multiple tasks
Ability to overcome obstacles and meet targets and deadlines, thereby producing the specified results.
Experience
Good verbal communication and writing skills
Must be diplomatic and assertive (where needed) with employees and/or customers.
Proven experience in producing reports
Advance MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook skills required
Proven track record of practical payroll experience required with 3 years solid experience
Sage People payroll experience will be an advantage
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Good interpersonal and decision making skills
Good analytical skills with attention to detail
Knowledge
Working knowledge of the relevant legislation e.g. BCEA, EEA, SDA, OHSA, COIDA
good aptitude for systems
