Lionels Group is looking to appoint an experienced HR Officer to join their team to act as an expert HR Generalist. The successful candidate would be responsible for the HR function across all agri-related companies in the Group.
Key Objectives
Maintains and enhances the organisation's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain company policies, procedures and other HR materials and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
Provide first line support to employees and managers on HR issues, including answering questions, researching and resolving issues.
Resolving employee relations issues and ensures proper compliance with labour laws.
Facilitate employee relations issues and ensure proper compliance with labour laws.
Facilitate employee complaints, grievances, conflict resolution/ mediation and investigations.
Manage the recruitment, selection and termination process.
Assist managers with disciplinary actions and disciplinary hearings.
Assist managers with performance related issues and performance management.
Take charge of the training function.
Develop and conduct team building exercises.
Assist with payroll
Manage Workmanβs Compensation Claims and Disability Claims.
Complete legislative reports, including Employment Equity Reports, Employment Equity Plans, Annual Training Report and Workplace Skills Plan.
Maintain and facilitate Workplace Forums, Employment Equity and Health and Safety meetings.
Develop and implement the companyβs B-BBEE Plan and dealing with other B-BBEE related issues.
Education requirements:
Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification
Requirements:
5 yearsβ experience within Human Resources environment
Sound working knowledge of all relevant legislation (LRA, EEA, BCEA , SDA, OHASA ) and HR best practices
Working knowledge of B-BBEE principals
Fully MS Office literate (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer) essential and Pastel Payroll knowledge preferable
Experience partnering with senior management on all HR issues
A proven ability of handling sensitive Employee Relations issues
Must be willing to travel to branches in Western Cape and occasional travel to Gauteng, KZN and/or Eastern Cape
A market-related salary will be offered.
