Essential requirements:
Previous solid experience working as a HR Generalist
Knowledge of current labour law legislation
Experience with HR information systems
Relevant HR qualification
Experience with IR, redundancies and retrenchments
Must have experience within a global environment
Duties and responsibilities:
Manage the recruitment activity that supports selection of diverse and suitability qualified employees and provide line management and employees with professional HR advice and guidance on employee relations
Manage recruitment process of staff, advising and coaching managers on good recruitment practice, making internal announcements, working professional with recruitment agencies and using the most effective range of sourcing solutions
Review preferred recruitment suppliers
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures on recruitment and hiring new employees
Manage on boarding process, inclusive of ensuring references and received in accordance with hr guidelines and provide advice to line managers and employees throughout the probation period
Record training activities and support the coordination of training programmes
Support administration of communication to employees
Employment contracts, changes to terms and conditions, salary increases, ensuring correct approval process throughout probation process has been followed
Advice/provide counsel to managers on sound employee relations and other hr issues, including performance management and disciplinary matters
Support regional HR leaders with grievances, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings
Conduct staff exist interviews and provide a summary of findings and trends to the business
Work closely with HR colleagues, monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice
Ensure all attendance management records are kept up to date, review and evaluate on regular basis and report any concerns to regional HR leader
Ensure all related legislation of the skills development and employment equity is completed and adhered to for submission and practice
