Introduction
A manufacturing Company based in Johannesburg is looking to appoint a HR Business Partner. The company is looking for an ambitious, energetic and passionate individual to join the team. The purpose of this role is to partner with management of the assigned business unit and to drive business and operational effectiveness. The HRBP will through their in-depth understanding of the Business Unit, source or design HR solutions and initiatives to leverage its talents and skills and so enable the business unit to deliver on its strategic objectives.
Duties and responsibilities:
Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships with HR Leadership, Business Leadership, wider HR community and Employees.
Partner with business units to identify and understand key business challenges in order to source, prioritize and drive HR solutions.
Contribute to the achievement of business strategy through the optimization of all the elements of the employee lifecycle.
Support the business with employee and industrial relations needs (Incl. conflict resolution, conduct/misconduct, capacity and grievances).
Work as the custodian of all people related policy and procedure, providing effective advice, response and implementation.
Provide advice, guidance and support to line management regarding discipline including representing the company at Bargaining Council or the CCMA.
Assist in identifying, then leading/project managing key HR change initiatives and programs ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with agreed requirements through effective coordination of people and resources.
Champion and enable effective cross-functional working relationships to create and drive an integrated HR employee experience
Support the activation of the talent strategy for the business unit by managing an effective recruitment, selection and appointment process.
Identify specific employment and development issues from business unit employment trends and other staff feedback mechanisms.
In liaison with training, drive the implementation of training, through the activation of learnerships and skills programmes.
Implementation of mentoring and coaching programs to support the various business unit workplace learning and internships.
Monitor and assess the impact of the training on individual and business unit performance.
Oversee terminations and exits according to policy guidelines
Support the implementation of the HR strategy and delivering strategic HR objectives.
Assist Divisional Managers in bringing about transformation in their divisions in relation to Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment.
Development and monitor BBBEE scorecard for business units.
Prepare applicable documentation BBBEE audits.
Ensure that communication channels are effective.
Organise community involvement programs, fund raising, team building exercises etc.
in the respective business unit.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources is essential;
Honourβs Degree in related HR field is advantageous;
3-5 yearsβ Operational experience in Human Resource Development is essential;
A good understanding and knowledge in a number of different specialist areas related to Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition and Resourcing;
Must be proficient in MS Office Packages.
Good planning skills and must be able to manage conflict.
Incumbent should portray high level of customer focus and must be detail orientated.
Must be ethical, trustworthy and maintain confidentiality
Must possess exceptional interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
Ability to handle challenges including a high level of diplomacy is essential.
